Gillette Children’s announced that Stephen Bariteau has been named executive vice president and chief development officer. He takes the helm of the Gillette Children’s Foundation on December 1, 2021.
Bariteau comes to Gillette Children’s from Allina Health, where he most recently served as president of its Foundation and vice president of strategic philanthropy. His prior experience includes leadership roles at Courage Kenny Foundation and Riley Children’s Foundation. He has also served as a national fundraising consultant.
“Stephen is a talented and sincere leader who will further advance our Foundation and its critical impact on Gillette’s strategic vision for clinical care, research and innovation,” said Barbara Joers, President and CEO. “He will play a pivotal role in building upon our culture of philanthropy as we redefine what is possible for all Gillette patients to assure they realize their full potential.”
Bariteau earned his Business Administration degree from Houghton College. He’s been active in the community, including serving as a board member of the Education Foundation of Bloomington and Rotary Club of Bloomington.
“Regional and community donors play a key role in funding Gillette’s mission,” Bariteau said. “The children and their families who we serve cannot thrive without robust philanthropic investment. We look forward to strengthening donor relationships as we prepare for an even more impactful future.”
