ST. PAUL, Minn. (06/30/23) – Uyen Truong, MD, has joined Gillette Children’s as a Complex Care pediatrician. She specializes in treating patients who have cerebral palsy, genetic conditions, developmental delays, brain injury, neuromusculoskeletal disorders and more.

Truong, a former Gillette patient, attended medical school at the University of Minnesota before completing her pediatrics residency at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas in Austin. After finishing her stint as chief resident this past year, Truong is excited to now be seeing patients at Gillette locations in St. Paul and Burnsville.

"I am passionate about Complex Care pediatrics because I want to be able to help give my patients the best opportunities to achieve their goals,” Truong said. “Growing up with a complex medical condition myself and interacting with children with complex medical conditions in various settings, I know that there is so much patients can do when given the chance - and that means not being in the hospital”

Truong is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

The Complex Care team at Gillette offers expert disability care, care management, and care navigation services for patients from birth to age 26. Led by Tori Bahr, MD, Medical Director of Pediatrics at Gillette, the group partners with primary care providers, sub-specialty physicians, and patient families to bring together services in a way that is both comprehensive and convenient.
