Alison Dittmer, MD, has joined Gillette Children’s as an orthopedic surgeon, specializing in joint preservation and conditions including Adolescent Hip Dysplasia, Hip Impingement, Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip, Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease, Slipped Capitola Femoral Epiphysis, Lower Extremity Deformity and Cerebral Palsy.
"I believe that developing relationships with patients and their families to learn not only about their orthopedic problems but also their lives, is instrumental to the treatment process,” said Dittmer. “As a pediatric hip surgeon, I am honored to be able to engage with and make an impact on the lives of my patients."
Prior to joining Gillette, her post-doctoral training included fellowships with the University of Colorado/Children’s Colorado Orthopedic Institute and Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kentucky Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School.
She is board certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Dittmer welcomes new patients at Gillette’s hospital and clinic campus in St. Paul as well as our Maple Grove Clinic.
