Minnesota is home to many accessible playgrounds which are created to be inclusive for children of all abilities. In fact, Gillette Children’s recently unveiled a new accessible playground of its own on the St. Paul Campus – now open to inpatient and outpatient visitors. Typical features for children with physical and developmental disabilities include wheelchair accessible swings, sensory-stimulating equipment and safety features. We’ve created a map of accessible parks across the state for your convenience. Know about a park that is not on the map? Reach out to us at advocacy@gillettechildrens.com.
