Ronald McDonald Family Room Volunteers
Gillette has a Ronald McDonald Family Room® that offers overnight accommodations and a common space for families of children staying overnight at the hospital.
Ronald McDonald Family Room® Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers who apply through Ronald McDonald House Charities® can participate in the following opportunities at Gillette:
- Cooks for Kids: Volunteer groups provide an evening meal for approximately 50 people. Evening meals take place seven days a week, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. Volunteers purchase, prepare, assemble and serve food on site in the kitchen and then clean up after the meal. Food prepared at a licensed establishment must be delivered directly to the Ronald McDonald Family Room®. Only packaged foods in unopened containers and whole fruits and vegetables will be accepted. Please visit our calendar site to sign up for serving at Gillette.
- House Warmer: Volunteers provide a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere for families by registering guests, answering phone calls, conducting tours, baking treats and tidying sleeping accommodations.
