For the first 15 years of my career, I worked as a general pediatrician.
Point being, I’ve been in your shoes. I know how difficult and stressful it can be to provide care for a large number of patients while adhering to limited appointment windows, and worrying about RVUs.
At Gillette, most of the patients we see have complex musculoskeletal, neurological and neurodegenerative illnesses. We know that our patients—through no fault of their own—rarely fit neatly into a primary care practice clinic flow.
These patients require time and expertise that can be as scarce as the rarity of their conditions. That’s why Gillette is here. Treating these patients has been our primary focus for decades, and we’ve gotten very good at it over the years.
That said, while we have the infrastructure to do a great many things, primary care is not one of them.
We know that the best care for our patients only happens when we collaborate with their local primary care providers. Ours is a partnership founded out of mutual respect, and the singular goal of helping our patients achieve their potential.
