Lots of organizations say they make a difference in the world. At Gillette, we prove it—every day. Discover why Gillette is recognized as a Twin Cities and national Top Workplace.
Our Mission
Every Gillette employee contributes to our mission: helping children, adults and their families improve their health, achieve greater well-being, and enjoy life.
Strong Mission Tied to Satisfaction
And making a difference in the world leads to high levels of employee satisfaction. In fact:
- 55 percent of our employees have worked at Gillette for more than five years.
- Many employees say they joined us after hearing others describe their positive experiences here.
Strategic Growth Leads to Opportunities
In addition, sound financial management has allowed Gillette to grow even during challenging economic times. We’ve increased our workforce by more than ten percent in the past five years. And we’ve doubled in size in the past decade!
The result: stability, growth and ample opportunities for advancement.
Competitive Pay and Comprehensive Benefits
Gillette provides competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package to help you balance your personal and financial needs—now and in the future. We offer options for medical, dental and vision insurance. We offer generous amounts of paid time off, which begins accruing as soon as you start work. In addition, we provide disability insurance, life insurance, adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement, retirement savings and other benefit plans.
Through Minnesota Employee Recreation and Services Council (MERSC) and SmartSavings, Gillette offers discounts at a variety of local attractions and organizations. We also have partnerships with Children’s Discovery Academy, Dell, Sam’s Club and many other businesses.
Gillette offers these benefits to employees who work at least 40 hours every two weeks.
Dental Insurance
We offer dental coverage for employees and their families. The plan includes orthodontia coverage for dependent children 18 and younger.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Employees have access to two types of flexible spending accounts. The accounts allow you to pay for eligible health care and/or dependent care expenses before you pay taxes on the funds. In essence, pretax spending accounts lower your out-of-pocket expenses for health care and dependent care.
Health Savings Accounts
If you opt for the high-deductible medical insurance plan, you can also enroll in a health savings account. You may make contributions to the account, and Gillette will make monthly contributions to help cover your medical expenses.
Medical Insurance
Employees are eligible for health insurance the month after they start at Gillette.
Vision Insurance
Our vision insurance pays for eye exams, frames and lenses. Our medical insurance also covers eye exams (but not frames and lenses).
Gillette offers these benefits to employees who work at least 40 hours every two weeks.
Adoption Assistance
Gillette provides an adoption reimbursement benefit to employees who adopt children. The benefit is subject to income tax.
Carpool Program / Bus Pass
Employees at our St. Paul campus who participate in the Rideshare program with a Gillette or Regions Hospital employee receive free parking and a guaranteed parking spot. If you have a valid driver’s license and choose to ride a bus rather than drive your car to work, Gillette will subsidize the cost of your bus pass (up to the amount the IRS deems tax-excludable). If you have a disability and use Metro Mobility to get to work, we’ll subsidize the cost of a Metro Mobility pass.
Employee Assistance Program
We offer employees and their families access to a free, confidential employee assistance service. The program provides counseling, financial information and resources, and legal support and resources.
Flexible Scheduling
Gillette offers flexible scheduling and part-time employment options in many career areas.
Jury Duty
We pay employees for up to 30 calendar days of time lost while attending jury duty. You’ll retain all jury-duty payments from the court (with no deductions by Gillette.)
Leaves of Absence
Gillette offers leaves of absence for a variety of reasons. We comply with the requirements of the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, the Minnesota Parental Leave Act, and other applicable laws. We offer bereavement leave, bone marrow donation leave, medical leave, military leave, parental leave (including leave to attend a child’s school conferences and school activities) and personal leave.
Paid Time Off
New employees receive paid time off (PTO) beginning on their first day, and they continue accruing time throughout the year. Full-time staff earn at least 25 days per year of PTO, which combines vacation, holiday and sick time. PTO accrual is prorated for part-time employees.
Tuition Reimbursement
After you complete six months of employment, Gillette will reimburse 100 percent of the costs of tuition and books—up to $2,500 a year—for education expenses related to your current position or to future opportunities at Gillette.
Wellness Program
Gillette's Wild on Wellness (WOW!) program helps employees improve their health. You may participate in activities just for fun or earn points for incentives throughout the year.
Gillette provides these benefits to employees who work at least 40 hours every two weeks. You don’t have to contribute to the cost of these benefits.
Basic Life Insurance
Gillette provides employees with a term life insurance policy; the amount of coverage depends on your position and salary.
Basic Short-Term Disability Insurance
Gillette provides employees with basic short-term disability coverage.
Long-Term Disability Insurance
If you’re unable to work for an extended time because of an illness or injury, you’re eligible for long-term disability insurance. Payments are coordinated with Social Security. In addition, employees who work at least 40 hours every two weeks can purchase the following coverage.
Optional Short-Term Disability Insurance
Employees may purchase optional short-term disability insurance to supplement the basic coverage from Gillette.
Optional Term Life Insurance
You may buy optional life insurance to cover you, your spouse and/or your dependents.
Matched Retirement/403(b) Savings Plan
Employees are immediately eligible to contribute and are automatically enrolled in an employer-match retirement savings account.
