About Andrew Ries, PhD

Andy Ries, PhD, is an engineer in the James R. Gage Center for Motion Analysis. After completing his PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Andy transitioned to working in the Gait Lab, contributing to studies related to biomechanics of gait, motion capture modeling, predictive outcome modeling, energetics of gait, artificial intelligence, and orthoses. Andy also has a strong interest in international collaboration and education.
